St Bridget's Catholic Primary School

St Bridget's follows the Little Wandle systematic synthetic phonics teaching programe. All members of staff are trained in the philosophy and pedagogical approach ensuring the highest quality of phonics teaching across the school. The Arch English hub qualitiy assures the implementation and continuous teaching of the scheme. Recently, we have undertaken the Little Wandle Graduation Audit - an intensive audit which covers all aspects of phonics and early reading. We afre pleased to announce that we passed with flying colours! 

Some key quotes from the final report which covered 80 points of assessment matched to Ofsted’s Education Inspection Framework (EIF) and Challenge Checklist graded A to C

We are now raising the bar, aspiring to become a Little Wandle Champion school.
