My name is Miss Shaw and I have the great pleasure of teaching Year Three. I am looking forward to an exciting year of learning with the children supported by Miss Riley. Mrs Smith will teachYear Three every Tuesday afternoon.
On this page you will find lots of important information and photographs of the exciting things that we will get up to in class. It will also be updated regularly with class news and links to websites that you may find helpful to support your child's learning.

School day
Magic Breakfast will be available for the children from 08:35 when our door opens.
Registration will then take place at 08:45.
School ends at 15:15 and the children should be collected from the Year Three door.
The children are encouraged to bring a water bottle in daily.
PE
Year Three will have P.E every Tuesday and Wednesday. Children should come to school in the correct PE uniform. Plain white t-shirt/polo, plain black leggings, joggers or shorts, plain black jacket/school jumper (no logos on PE uniform). Children must also take their earrings out to participate in the lesson. If your child is unable to remove their earrings themselves, please ensure this is done before the start of school.
Phonics and Spelling
For spellings, we will continue to send spellings home weekly. These will focus on spelling rules and patterns as well as covering the statuatory spellingd for Year Three.

Spellings
Year Three spellings will be sent home on a Friday. Please help your child practise and learn these spellings ready for their test on the following Friday.
Maths
We use TTRS to supplement the children's learning in class. Please ensure your child completes at least 30mins of TTRS maths per week.
Reading
Reading books will be changed every Monday. Please read with your child at least 3 times per week and sign their reading diary. Children should bring their reading book and reading record into school every day.
