Catholic Ethos
With Christ at the centre and children at the heart,
we learn to love and love to learn.
As parents, who have chosen a Catholic school for your child, we welcome your commitment to a partnership in providing the best service in a Catholic context in the best educational spiritual tradition.
Our school is seen as an integral part of the Church community and supports parents in the important stages of the religious education of their children. In our recent inspection, January 2017, we were graded as oustanding in all aspects. The Collective Worship provided is outstanding in reflecting the Catholic character of the school. A real strength is the inclusive ethos that takes into account the variety of Faith backgrounds among the pupils.
Due to the Catholic status of the school, no arrangements are made for the exclusion of children from Masses, assemblies or collective worship. Holy Mass is celebrated in school , parents and parishioners are invited to join us for these Masses. There will be occasions when the children invite their family to share in assemblies, which reflect the children's work in the National Religious Education Programme - Come and See.
The Home School Agreement Document and procedure clarifies what is mutually promised by the home and school communities to make the most of our Catholic ethos.
